# 10 – Manager – John McGraw

Career: 2583-1790-51

Accolades:

World Series Champion (1905, 1921-’22).
Most Wins by a manager in franchise history.

He started out in Baltimore as a shortstop and third baseman, but by the time he came to New York, his career as a player slowly started to die down.

However, it is not his playing time that has included McGraw on this list.  As a manager, McGraw by far holds the franchise record for most wins, having led his New York Giants to two thousand five hundred eighty three wins over his thirty one year tenure as manager with the club.

Delivering ten pennants and three World Series titles to the New York Giants as both a player and manager between 1902 and 1932, the one-time shortstop of franchise past has earned a special spot on this list because of his success with the team.

Along with Mathewson, he represented one of two Giants elected into the very first Hall of Fame class.
