# 9 – Catcher – Buster Posey

Career: .310 AVG / 46 HR / 197 RBI / 123 BB

Accolades:

2010 Rookie Of The Year.
2012 N.L. Comeback Player Of The Year.
2012 All-Star.
2012 Silver Slugger.
2012 N.L. MVP.
2-Time World Series Champion (2010, 2012).

It may be very, very early to say; but in just two and a half seasons, this young, talented leader of a catcher has established himself as one of the best catchers of all time.  In his short career, Posey has done nothing but win.

However, more importantly, he’s been a quiet leader; leading his team to two World Series titles in only three years.  Defensively, he is as solid an option as you could ask for, and with the accolades he has already accumulated one can only imagine the type of player this budding superstar will be.

As mentioned before, he is a quiet leader, but a leader nonetheless.

Capturing a batting title, MVP honors, and a second World Series title all in one season isn’t too shabby,  especially when considering the fact that Posey’s 2011 came to a screeching halt after his season ending injury in May.

Given time, Posey might outshine (and this may very well be blasphemy at its finest) Mays in terms of overall greatness.  He’ll have to work on the long ball, but his future is as bright as any fan could hope for.

Posey is already a future Hall of Famer.
