Mark Jackson has only two years of head coaching experience in the NBA, but he is a strong candidate for Coach of the Year this season. Coach Jackson helped lead the Warriors to a 47-35 record this season after going 23-43 record in last year’s shortened season. Even though last season was only 66 games, Jackson helped the Warriors win a very impressive 24 games.

Coach Jackson might not be one the elite X’s and O’s coaches in the NBA now, but he has a tremendous ability to inspire a team and get a team to buy into a system. He has also been a great motivator and inspiration for players such as Stephen Curry. Jackson has done an amazing job teaching Curry more about the point guard role, while still letting Curry be the natural scorer that he is.
