It may be hard to fathom, but since August 7th 2012, against St. Louis, the Giants have been unbeatable with Barry Zito starting on the mound.

Winning sixteen (Zito personally earning nine of those wins) consecutive Zito starts – including three postseason appearances where Zito earned two of the victories without one loss – the Giants have enjoyed a feat that hasn’t been accomplished in franchise history since the 1951 and 1952 seasons, where pitcher Al Maglie led the, then, New York Giants to thirteen consecutive regular season wins. Maglie was 12-0 in those thirteen games, including one game in relief.
