Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis, sensitive to the heartbreak he’s caused in the East Bay with the impending departure of the team, is offering apology packages for the 2017 season.

Never let it be said that Mark Davis isn’t a sensitive or caring soul. The impending move of the Oakland Raiders to the Silver State has caused no small amount of anger, angst, and heartache among East Bay residents. The backlash has been coming fast and furious since the day the results of the relocation vote were announced and Davis has gotten an earful.

Understanding that he’s upset longtime fans – especially his season ticket holders – Davis has already offered refunds for the upcoming seasons to those who are so inclined. But for those who might be on the fence about keeping their season seats, Davis is trying to sweeten the pot a bit.

So, for those who want to retain their season seats – or perhaps purchase a set – for the upcoming season, Davis is offering what is being colloquially dubbed, “apology packages.”

In a press release, Miller Tyme, an executive in the Raiders’ Marketing and PR Department, offered this:

"“We want the fans to know that we understand and feel their pain. At the end of the day, this is a business and we have to do what’s best for our organization. That being said, to hopefully help soften any hard feelings, we’re offering special perks and incentives to those who choose to keep their season seats – or purchase season seats – for the 2017 season. Our goal is the same as it always has been – to bring a championship back to the Bay Area. Unfortunately, our time is running short, but we believe we can get there — and we’d love for everybody to be a part of that mission and help us go out in style.”"

According to Tyme’s statement and the accompanying literature, the “apology packages” will come in four different levels – Silver, Gold, Diamond, Platinum – each containing their own special set of perks and incentives.

The “apology packages” are available only to season ticket holders, with each perk level requiring a small additional charge to the price of the seats.

So, what is included with these “apology packages?” Let’s find out…
