After a few weeks off, the San Francisco Giants Mailbag posts are back! This is the fifth edition of the Giants Mailbag. In these weekly posts, I answer three questions sent to me by fans through Twitter about the Giants, their offseason, etc.

In the last Giants Mailbag post, I answered questions about if the Giants will re-sign Ryan Vogelsong (which they did), if Yusmeiro Petit will compete for a spot in the Giants’ starting rotation, and Marco Scutaro‘s current status and if Giants fans will see him play at all during 2015.

The Giants have had somewhat of a quiet offseason, but that doesn’t mean that it was unsuccessful. Some fans believe that the Giants have really disappointed this offseason in terms of bringing in higher quality starting pitchers, failing to add more power in the lineup, and failing to re-sign Pablo Sandoval and Michael Morse.

Spring Training starts soon for the Giants, and there are many questions that fans want answers to heading into the 2015 season. We will address three of those questions in this article.

Let’s start off with the first question.
