Stephen Curry Will Win All-Star Game MVP

Stephen Curry has solidified himself as a superstar in the NBA. Curry, in his sixth NBA season, has an already impressive list of accomplishments. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2010. He was All-NBA Second Team in 2014. He’s a two-time NBA All-Star (2014 and 2015) and has started in both All-Star Games. Curry has two 50-point games under his belt.

Curry is considered an MVP candidate this season, but there’s another prestigious award that he could win before the end of the season.

Bold predictions are just that; they’re bold. They’re a little far-fetched, but some of them have considerable thought behind them. Here’s a bold prediction.

Curry will be named the 2015 All-Star Game MVP.

This prediction might not be “bold” for Golden State Warriors fans, as Curry dazzles and amazes Dub Nation on a nightly basis, but for the rest of the NBA world, this might be considered “bold,” given the rest of the talent that will be playing in the All-Star Game this year, such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, James Harden, etc.

One reason why Curry has a great chance at winning All-Star Game MVP this year is that he’s at his best when he’s in the spotlight, which he certainly will be under the bright lights of New York City.

One of the biggest spotlights of them all is at the All-Star Game, and Curry could flourish this year, given the success he’s had this season, but also because since this is his second All-Star Game, he will be more comfortable and look to make an even bigger impact this year.

Curry also loves to put on a show, and that will definitely translate to the All-Star Game, as it’s centered around entertainment, at least until the fourth quarter when teams actually start to defend. He loves the theatrical, fun side of basketball, so Curry will do whatever he can to dazzle the New York crowd with his shooting, his passing, and his jaw-dropping plays.

In addition, Curry has a lot of momentum on his side heading into the All-Star Game. He is the leader and the best player on one of the best teams in the NBA, he was the leading vote-getter in All-Star voting this year, he was just rewarded a signature shoe with Under Armour, and he will have his fellow Splash Brother, Klay Thompson, and his coaching staff alongside him during this year’s All-Star Game.

Given these factors, he will have the utmost confidence heading into the Three-Point Contest and in the All-Star Game. Curry will be determined to win the Three-Point Contest this year after failing to win it in his three other chances, and that could give him even more motivation to have a standout performance in the All-Star Game.

In addition, he will also have motivation to improve on last year’s performance. At last year’s All-Star Game, Curry scored 12 points and dished out 11 assists. He shot just 4-for-14 from the field and 2-for-11 from three-point range though. Curry is highly competitive and expects the best out of himself, so he will certainly try to play better this time around.

Curry played almost 28 minutes in last year’s game, and he could perhaps play a little more if Steve Kerr decides to highlight his star player more, which would also increase his chances at taking home the All-Star Game MVP trophy.

Winning All-Star Game MVP obviously won’t be an easy task. Just on the Western Conference team alone, Curry will have to out-perform outstanding players such as Harden, Davis, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, LaMarcus Aldridge, etc. However, this is Curry’s moment to excel, and he is set up perfectly to succeed and take home the prize.

Curry steps up in the big moments and likes to dazzle the crowd. On a national stage, Curry will play at an elite level, display his all-around game and show that he’s not just a shooter, and make a serious case for winning All-Star Game MVP.
