Stephen Curry and Under Armour Unveil Curry One Signature Shoe

Stephen Curry is the best player on the Golden State Warriors. He’s an NBA All-Star. He’s an MVP candidate. He’s the baby-faced assassin.

Now, he has his own signature shoe.

The Curry One is Curry’s first signature shoe, and it’s also Under Armour’s first signature shoe. The shoe will hit the market on February 13th, but the Curry Ones made their on-court debut last night against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Oracle Arena.

Not only does the shoe look incredibly slick, but it also features Under Armour’s latest and most exciting technology. The shoe boasts charged cushioning, which provides comfort and allows the player to become more explosive, and the shoe also uses anafoam, which is a type of foam and mesh support that provides the ultimate support and stability.

The Curry Ones are high-quality, good-looking shoes, but they also tell the story of Curry and his journey to the NBA. They reflect his underdog mentality, his love for Dub Nation and the Bay Area, and his belief in himself and the belief that has been instilled in him by his loved ones.

Here’s what Curry had to say about the shoe and his journey in the NBA:

"“To be part of this process and to see the Curry One come to life is a dream come true,” says Curry. “What makes this experience so meaningful is that the shoe represents the belief I have in myself and the belief of my family, close friends, teammates and coaches that’s driven me to get better and led me to where I am today.”"

Also, here’s what Dave Dombrow, the VP And Creative Director of Footwear at Under Armour, said about Curry and his new signature shoe:

"“The Curry One represents Stephen’s journey and the legacy he is building that is inspiring and motivating the next generation of basketball players,” says Dave Dombrow, VP and Creative Director, Footwear, Under Armour. “Through hard work and self-conviction, Stephen willed himself into becoming one of the game’s best players.”"

Here’s more information about the shoe and the unveiling of the shoe at a private event that was held in Alameda on Thursday night:

These shoes make me excited, as a Warriors fan, not only because I want to buy a pair myself, but also because it’s great to see Curry get more national recognition, in the form of a signature shoe, which is much-deserved.

I’ve been a diehard Curry fan since his Davidson years, and it makes me so happy and proud to see such a humble, respectful, and great man and basketball player continue to excel and be rewarded for his extreme talent and high character. A signature shoe might not mean as much as an MVP award or an All-Star selection in the minds of some basketball fans, but Curry makes Dub Nation proud and Dub Nation should be incredibly proud to have Curry represent this Warriors team.

Curry is the present and the future of this Warriors organization, and that makes me extremely excited. Congrats, Steph, on your signature shoe! You deserve it!
