The Giants’ defense has been spotty all season. Scutaro has 10 errors already this season when he only had four as a Giant last season, and Andres Torres has five errors in 56 games at left field.

Crawford, Blanco, and Brandon Belt have been excellent defensively, as expected. Pence and Sandoval have been solid defensively as well.

However, the Giants have 66 errors this season, which ranks 12th in the NL. They also have a .981 fielding percentage, which ranks 14th in the NL. Lastly, the Giants have only 882 assists this season, which ranks last in the NL by a lot.

Grade for the defense: C-
