Football is an intense sport, and all games are intense. However, some games are more intense than others.

When two rivals square off, an intense game can always be expected. Division rivals face off twice every year, and a lot is at stake. When two teams are doing well, intense games can be expected as well.

And when intense games happen between two teams consistently, rivalries follow.

There are heated rivalries right now, and they treat fans to great football. Here are the NFL’s four best rivalries.

N.E. vs Denver ? Wrong. Is this is the only pathetic way you can keep Manning and Brady in the spotlight ? It shows how bad the divisions are in which they play. Just to balance out the NFC (2) AFC( 2) I will say that Houston vs Indianapolis is a newer, better, and still emerging rivalry.

When you think about it the NFC is not only the stronger conference, but in 2013 it will have some of the best divisional and interdivisional rivalry match ups.

Pitt/Balt used to be the best rivalry. NFC West is that new best rivalry. Seahawks and Niners. They have what BAL/PITT used to have. I would argue that your #1 doesn’t belong in the top 4 anymore. I would watch Redskins/Cowboys over Pitt/Bal this year.
    GO ‘HAWKS!
