As the first week of the MLB season comes to a close, baseball fans have been treated to some great performances and surprising disappointments. Every team has suffered the bitter taste of defeat and the pageantry of opening their season.

The highs and lows have surprise teams like the Colorado Rockies and Minnesota Twins being tied for first while the New York Yankees have only secured one win. In a long regular season like baseball, it’s too easy to let one week overshadow better judgment, but that doesn’t mean we can just dismiss it entirely.
