Ranking the Top 10 Point Guards in the NBA

There’s arguably more depth at point guard than at any other position in the NBA.  Any “Top 10” list you look at is generally going to contain the names below in various orders, and there’s always going to be a certain subjective nature to these power rankings because, hey, they’re made by one guy — me!

Still, there’s a general consensus out there on who’s the best point guard in the game, and I tried to capture those feelings that are swirling around the internet here in this post.

Trying to rank these players is an inexact science, especially when you take into account what they’ve accomplished over the entirety of their careers.  In some cases you’re really going off of the potential of what the player could do, and in other cases the player might have been five spots higher five years ago, but old age, injury, or an unfortunate team situation caused me to put them lower on the list.

At any rate, it’s important to remember that these rankings are always in flux, and that in two weeks, two months, or two years I may look back and wonder what I was thinking.  Until that time comes, these are the Top 10 point guards in the NBA.
