Stock Down: Clelin Ferrell
Clelin Ferrell was invisible once again which has become a common theme with him since Week 1. This one may have been the worst game for the rookie as he didn’t record a single stat while playing 62% of the defensive snaps.

He only recorded one tackle last week against the Bears as well. One tackle in two games is not what you expect from a defensive end that was drafted in large part due to his ability to play against the run.
While Ferrell has been able to set the edge, he often hand-fights and plays “patty cake” with offensive linemen, instead of countering as discussed earlier when talking about Maxx Crosby.
Many people will say that Ferrell being kicked inside on obvious pass downs is the reason for the lack of sack production, but he is not getting pressure when he is on the edge either, so that is not a valid excuse for the fourth overall pick.
While Ferrell was considered more NFL ready than Josh Allen and Brian Burns, he has been heavily outperformed by both of them as the two have five and 3.5 sacks respectively, with third-round pass rusher Chase Winovich also outproducing him with four sacks.
It is still far too early to say Ferrell is a bust, but at some point, he will need to break out of this slump and show signs of life. The fourth overall pick has been arguably the most disappointing rookie of the class, despite being the first one picked.
