The 29-year-old Denver Nuggets shooting guard has been one of the Kings’ main focuses, according to sources. Afflalo played under Karl in Denver so there’s reason to believe Karl wants him back. Afflalo is a solid defender and can offer scoring to a Kings’ lineup that often lacks production when Collison and Cousins are on the bench.
Per-36, Afflalo is averaging just under 16 points on 13 shots, which isn’t the best production, but he’d more than likely be a third option for the Kings behind Cousins and Rudy Gay. Also, Afflalo has two ex-teammates on the Kings roster in Collison and Ryan Hollins, both of whom played with Afflalo at UCLA.
