According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, San Francisco 49ers NT Glenn Dorsey will be out for the season with a torn bicep.
Glenn Dorsey suffered the injury on Friday where he left practice with the arm injury. A member of the team’s medical staff spent time flexing Dorsey’s arm and appeared to be looking at his biceps or elbow,” according to Matt Barrows. That injury was confirmed today.
San Francisco has already had a rash of injuries effecting multiple positions and now another one is added to that list. With Ian Williams still on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list the defensive tackle position has gotten even thinner. He suffered his injury earlylast season after he broke his ankle in week two, an injur which included some ligament damage.
Last season Glenn Dorsey had 41 total tackles including two sacks and started 16 games (13 during the regular season and 3 during the postseason). While he played a majority of the season, he was especially effective in the second-half of the season.
And, to add insult to injury, today is his 29th birthday. That’s rough. Get well soon, Glenn Dorsey.
