Hunter Pence can sleep soundly tonight. Not only did the San Francisco Giants secure a series win over the Chicago Cubs with their 5-0 win today, but Pence’s scooter has been found and was returned.
The scooter was stolen on Sunday from a restaurant on the Embarcadero. Pence announced the theft on his Twitter account, and many fans and teammates responded with support. Pence was so distraught over his stolen scooter that he even offered an autographed bobblehead to whoever returned his scooter to him.
Pence placed an order for a new scooter, but thankfully for Pence, the San Francisco Police Department found the original scooter and returned it to AT&T Park during the game today.
Joe Day, the clubhouse chef and the creator of Pence’s scooter, was the first to announce the scooter’s arrival over Twitter.

Amy Gutierrez of Comcast Sportsnet Bay Area then confirmed it over Twitter.

Even Bruce Bochy is pleased that the scooter is back. After the game today, he said: “We can all sleep tonight. He got the scooter back.”
Pence said today that he can’t cancel his order for the new scooter, so he might auction it off for charity. As of now though, the stolen scooter saga is now officially over.
