Golden State Warriors' Management Heads To Oklahoma City To Meet With Steve Kerr

According to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski the management group of the Golden State Warriors is heading to Oklahoma City to meet with Steve Kerr.

This comes a day after the Warriors’ top brass met with Stan Van Gundy, another head coaching prospect, in Florida on Monday.

It has been a crazy morning as far as coaching rumors are concerned, but at the moment it looks like Stan Van Gundy wants full control of the team, something the Golden State Warriors are not keen on giving him. In fact, there are reports that Stan Van Gundy and the Pistons are finalizing a deal at the moment.

Instead, management will head to Oklahoma City where Kerr is calling tonight’s basketball game between the Thunder and the Clippers.

As Adrian Wojnarowski said, the Warriors are looking to make a final push for Kerr who at the moment is in a “staredown” with the New York Knicks as far as contract negotiations go. This may be Golden State’s opportunity to jump in.

Lastly, unlike the Knicks, the Golden State Warriors say money is not an issue when it comes to Kerr, according to Tim Kawakami of the Mercury News.

We broke down whether or not both Stan Van Gundy and Steve Kerr would work with the Warrriors and you can read those here. More to come on this developing story later.
