Thoughts And Reactions About Khalil Mack Selection

There’s definitely been an overwhelming support about the Khalil Mack selection by the Oakland Raiders at #5, and with good reason. Here is a collection of some those reactions, both good and bad, about the Raiders’ pick.

We start with Tim Kawakami who absolutely loved the pick. This wasn’t the only tweet where he gushed about the quality they got at #5.

Also, according the ESPN’s Adam Schefter, he was the main target.

But, it wasn’t all positive, and Damon Bruce had plenty to say about the choice.

What are your thoughts? Personally, I can’t think of a better guy to go the Oakland Raiders, perhaps other than Sammy Watkins, but he was already gone. As such, I’m much more inclined to agree with Kawakami here instead of Bruce, but at this point everyone is and expert until Khalil Mack hits the field. First though we have the rest of the draft to get through!

Damon Bruce is a Raider Hater, typical media. I don’t understand why he’s on the Raider’s flagship station. God must hate the Raiders.

Sounds like he isn’t a very well informed media INSIDER

Well maybe Damon should turn on a different news source if he’s never heard of him.

I’m not a Raider fan, but I totally was blown away by a sports media guy saying nobody heard of Mack. Must be an intern locked in the dungeon and only brought out for Starbuck runs.

The question is where does Mack fit in? Kevin Burnett is in the final year of a two year deal. But who replaces him? Moore or Mack? Never really been impressed with Moore’s tackle numbers. Moore reminds me of a defensive end but is too undersized. I just hope Mack doesn’t turn out to be another Vermin Gholston.

Don’t think Raiders will have problem with Mack’s motor, savvy or attitude in or off the field. Coupled with Moore we are looking at two guys who can explode thru and pull down a QB or RB in a second!

Mack would have been a great fit for the Bills. Kiko Alonso on one side, Mack on the other, and Brandon Spikes in the middle — Oh Boy, that sounds scary.

    Big Mack attack coming!
