The Pacific Tigers rolled into the semifinals of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament, avenging a 15-point loss to the San Diego Toreros at the Spanos Center on Feb. 15 with a 75-60 win Wednesday night.
The Tigers (18-15) have won their last two games by double-digits at home after struggling to get past Grand Canyon in the first round.
Yale also advanced to the semifinals with a win over Columbia on Wednesday and VMI upset Ohio on the road to advance. The quarterfinals close Thursday when Towson visits Murray State. The semifinals will be played Tuesday with the championship set for April 3.
San Diego was 20-for-54 (37 percent) overall, 2-for-20 (10 percent) from 3-point range and 18-for-23 (78.3 percent) at the free-throw line. Pacific was 24-for-50 (48 percent), 6-for-12 (50 percent) and 21-for-29 (72.4 percent).
