McCallum wound up scoring three points in five minutes of the Kings’ 124-80 pasting of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, but he hasn’t played a lot for Sacramento this season, logging just 22 minutes in eight games. McCallum has seven points, four rebounds and two assists on 3-of-9 shooting, including 1-of-4 from 3-point range.
He made his first career NBA 3-pointer on Sunday.
This will be McCallum’s second assignment to Sacramento’s D-League affiliate, the Reno Bighorns. He played three games with the Bighorns in late November, averaging 37.9 minutes while scoring 66 points with 15 rebounds, 11 assists and four steals. He was 25-for-55 from the floor (45.5 percent) and his 4-of-13 (30.8 percent) from deep.
McCallum was a second-round pick by the Kings out of Detroit in last June’s NBA Draft.
