The Stanford Cardinal took a 15-4 lead and held off one run by the host Utah Utes en route to an 87-61 blowout at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City Friday night.
The Cardinal (14-1, 3-0 Pac-12 Conference) extended their overall winning streak to games and improved to 16-0 all-time against the Utes (7-7, 0-3), including 10-0 in Salt Lake.
Chiney Ogwumike scored 30 points on just 17 shots (13-for-17) and had two blocked shots for Stanford. Amber Orrange added 14 points and six assists and Mikaela Ruef dragged down 14 rebounds.
Emily Potter led the Utes with 16 points and eight rebounds, while Michelle Plouffe scored 14 points to go with eight boards and five assists. Danielle Rodriguez chipped in with 11 points and five dimes.
Stanford shot 35-for-61 (57.4 percent) overall, 8-for-14 (57.1 percent) from 3-point range and 9-for-17 (52.9 percent) from the foul line. Utah was 22-for-57 (38.6 percent), 5-for-11 (45.5 percent) and 12-for-21 (57.1 percent).
The Cardinal dominated the glass 43-28, while the Utes committed 10 turnovers to 11 for Stanford.
Stanford goes to No. 17 Colorado on Sunday for a 2 p.m. Pacific tipoff.
