San Francisco 49ers Installed As 6-1 Shot To Win Super Bowl

The San Francisco 49ers are tied for third among the NFL’s playoff teams as far as their odds to win the Super Bowl.

According to odds posted by Glantz and Culver, the 49ers and New England Patriots are 6-1 to win the whole enchilada. The Denver Broncos are the favorites at 2-1, with the Seattle Seahawks thought to be the NFC’s best hope at 5-2.

The only other team seen as a better than 10-1 shot is the Carolina Panthers at 7-1.

Other playoff teams and their odds include the Cincinnati Bengals, Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles (12-1); the Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints (18-1) and the San Diego Chargers are the longest of the longshots at 35-1.

Coming into the season, the 49ers were listed as 5-1, the favorites among the 12 teams that eventually qualified for the postseason. The Chiefs were carrying 60-1 odds at the start of the season.

New England is the only team of the 12 with the same odds now as in August.
