Candlestick Park is dark and will be forever ... unless the 49ers manage to get a home game in the playoffs. But after all the hubbub at The 'Stick Monday night, nothing is on the Bay Area schedule for Christmas Eve. Mandatory Credit: Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Docket: A Clean Christmas Eve Slate, With Some Holiday Hoops On The Horizon

It’s Christmas Eve and the Bay Area sports schedule is a clean one. Nothing is scheduled today.

But the games will pick up again on Wednesday, Christmas Day.

10:30 a.m. Pacific: Saint Mary’s vs. George Mason—Diamond Head Classic Seventh Place Game

The Saint Mary’s Gaels are still undefeated on the mainland, but they’re 0-2 at the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu.

They’ll go out Christmas morning and try to salvage one game on this trip when they take on the George Mason Patriots, who have lost to Iowa State and Oregon State in the tournament. This is a pretty big game for the Gaels, who don’t want to come home 9-3 after showing up to the islands with a 9-0 mark.

7:30 p.m. Pacific: Los Angeles Clippers at Golden State Warriors

The NBA’s Christmas Day quintupleheader wraps up with the Clippers and Warriors renewing acquaintances. This will be the first meeting of the year between the teams at Oracle Arena and the Clippers lead the season series 1-0 after a 126-115 win over the Dubs in L.A. on Halloween night.

The Warriors won the season series last year 3-1, taking both games in Oakland, and they haven’t lost to the Clips at home since Christmas Day 2011, the only other time the teams have met on Christmas Day.

Golden State leads the series 72-59 overall since the Clippers moved to Los Angeles in 1984, including a 41-24 mark as the home team.
