Some Seattle Seahawks fans have joined forces to fly a banner over Candlestick Park on Sunday as the Seahawks play the San Francisco 49ers.

According to, the group has raised more than $1,800 to fly a banner that reads “GO HAWKS-12” for 15 minutes, arriving about 10 minutes prior to kickoff.

Well isn’t that cute.

Seattle fans seem to have a mindset they are more the story than the team sometimes, hence their relentless efforts to win the empty prize of “loudest outdoor stadium,” a title which, when coupled with $6, will get one a cup of the Seattle coffee the city seems to proud of.

Hey, if having a banner flown over an opposing stadium is what it takes to get one’s jollies, more power to ya.

It just seems that money could have bought some 300 cups of the overpriced, overhyped brew to cry into should their beloved Seahawks lose at San Francisco … something they did about a year or so ago, if memory serves.

Lol, laughable. We’ll see who’s crying. I seem to remember the Hawks decimating your beloved whiners in the last two meetings. I also remember that the last time we played in your house the whiners barely squeeked a win. We’ll see Sunday. Good luck, you’ll need it.
