Stanford Up One Spot To No. 7 In AP Poll, Remains No. 10 In Coaches Rankings

The Stanford Cardinal moved up one notch to No. 7 in the Associated Press Top 25 this week after their 27-20 win over No. 25 Notre Dame at Stanford Stadium Saturday night.

The Cardinal remained at No. 10 in the USA Today Coaches poll this week. Stanford goes to Tempe, Ariz., next Saturday evening for the Pac-12 championship against the Arizona State Sun Devils, who moved up two spots to No. 11 in the AP poll and advanced five positions to No. 13 in the coaches rankings.

Florida State assumed the top spot in both polls for the first time in 13 years after blowing out Florida 37-7 on Saturday.

Alabama, ranked No. 1 all season, tumbled to No. 4 in both polls after their last-second 34-28 at Auburn Saturday night. The Tigers moved up to No. 3 in both rankings after the win, with Ohio State bumping up one spot to No. 2.

The rest of the AP Top 10 includes Missouri, Oklahoma State, Stanford, South Carolina, Baylor and Michigan State.

The coaches Top 10 is rounded out by Missouri, Oklahoma State, Baylor and South Carolina (tied at No. 7), Michigan State and Stanford.

Other Pac-12 squads in the AP poll include Arizona State at No. 11, Oregon at No. 12 and UCLA at No. 17. In the coaches poll, the Pac-12 is represented by No. 12 Oregon, No. 13 Arizona State and No. 19 UCLA.
