Michael Crabtree To Start For San Francisco 49ers Against St. Louis Rams

Michael Crabtree is listed at the top of the depth chart in place of Mario Manningham as the San Francisco 49ers prepare to host the St. Louis Rams this afternoon at Candlestick Park.

Crabtree hasn’t played this season and was just activated this week after having surgery to repair a torn right Achilles’ tendon in May.

According to the Sacramento Bee, defensive end Ray McDonald is also active today. He didn’t practice this week and has missed two straight games, but got the OK from team doctors today and will start at left end on the defense.

Inactives include wide receivers Quinton Patton, still not ready as he recovers from a broken foot, and Jon Baldwin, a healthy scratch. Guard Mike Iupati (knee) and cornerback Tarell Brown (ribs) are inactive, as are tight end Garrett Celek, defensive end Quinton Dial and defensive end Tank Carradine.

Adam Snyder will make his second straight start in place or Iupati at left guard and Tramaine Brock will take Brown’s spot in the secondary for the second straight game.
