Two Critically Injured After Woman Appears To Jump From Third Deck At O.co Coliseum

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office says two people were taken from O.com Coliseum to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after Sunday’s game between the Oakland Raiders and Tennessee Titans.

According to KGO-TV’s website, a woman jumped from the third deck near section 301 at the Coliseum around 4:30 p.m.

The section was closed to the public.

A fan walking along the concourse some 60 feet below saw the women falling and attempted to catch her, sustaining critical injuries when she landed on him.

The sheriff’s department told the television station they believe the woman jumped intentionally.

Both fans are said to be in critical condition.

While there has been a lot of social media traffic already concerning this incident, we’re not going to leap to any conclusions. While it’s easy to assume the outcome of the game was what prompted the woman to jump, we don’t have enough information with which to make that conclusion.

Instead, we’ll just hope that medical personnel are able to prevent any loss of life from the incident.
