The San Francisco 49ers enter Sunday afternoon’s matchup with the Carolina Panthers fresh off a bye week, preceded by a five-game winning streak. With the passing game, running game and defense all coming together during the winning streak, the Niners used the bye week to rest, recover, and, most importantly, get healthy. Week 10 will see the return of wide receiver Mario Manningham and the debut of much-hyped rookie, Cornellius “Tank” Carradine.

But this game will not be an easy one, as the Carolina Panthers have proved themselves as a legitimate contender in the NFC South. With a dynamic signal-caller of their own in Cam Newton, a three-headed rushing attack of DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, and Mike Tolbert, and the No. 2 ranked defense in the National Football League, the Panthers will not go down easily. The 49ers will have to bring their A game to this one to avoid this potential trap game.
