The San Francisco 49ers head into London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday for the second time in four seasons. This time the Niners are riding a four-game winning streak to face the winless Jacksonville Jaguars.
San Francisco (5-2) has scored 30 points or more in each of their last four games, all victories, and was never threatened a week ago after taking a 24-0 third-quarter lead and holding on to beat the Tennessee Titans in Nashville, Tenn., 31-17.
Jacksonville (0-7) is last in the NFL in scoring defense, allowing 31.7 points per game, and is also last in rushing defense, surrendering 153.3 yards a game on the ground. The 49ers will look to exploit that with their third-ranked rushing attack (143.3 yards per game).
The four-game streak is San Francisco’s longest since an eight-game run in 2011. Jacksonville, by contrast, is off to the worst start in franchise history and hasn’t won a game beating the Titans 24-19 last Nov. 25, more than 11 months ago. The Jaguars have lost 12 games in a row overall.
