The Oakland Raiders have played much better this season than their record shows. Being 2-4 is an understatement of how well their season has been going.
Despite being last in their division, the Raiders are playing above most people’s expectations. The players have not given up. As Terrelle Pryor stated, “We have to come together and start creating…We’ll be back; 2-4; we’ll get to the playoffs.”
The Raiders have suffered many heartbreaking losses, three of which have been to three playoff contenders, but every week they have competed and given their opponent a tough game.
The Raiders are also in the AFC West, the toughest division so far this year with the Broncos and Chiefs both being undefeated and playing close to flawless football. Along with a tough division, the Raiders also have had arguably the toughest schedule so far and to continue on for the rest of the season.
Pryor has taken he blame for the Raiders’ losses saying, “This loss is on me. I’ll take it,” after they fell to the Chiefs last week.
“I’ll make sure we get better,” he continued. “As the leader of the offense, I have to make sure it happens. It will.”
The Raiders have nothing to lose being a young team in AFC West with the schedule they have. They deserve much more respect than given, and they will continue to prove the doubters wrong every week.
