There have been talks between the Golden State Warriors and Andrew Bogut regarding a contract extension.
Bogut only played 32 regular season games for the Warriors last season. He toughed it out in the playoffs and made an impact, even though he was noticeably in pain.
But Bogut is only 28 and when healthy, is a top 5 center in the league. The #1 overall pick in 2005 has said that he wants to remain with Golden State.
Do the Warriors take a gamble and sign Bogut to an extension before his contract is up? The upside to this is that if Bogut has a breakout season, he would be worth more, but already under control as perhaps a lower value than he is worth.
But he has had injury problems that have kept him off the court for much of the past two seasons.
Both sides do not want this to carry over into the regular season, and it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
What do you think? How should the Warriors handle the potential Andrew Bogut extension?
