In this episode of Sacramento Kings talk, we start the show off with analyzing the second preseason game against the Lakers and the positive and negatives that I have seen. I talk about certain players who have shown improvement, and how one players good performance, will still go unnoticed in the coaches eyes.

Then, I have a great interview with Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports (begins at 7:18 of the podcast) . We talk about the two preseason games and the things he saw that were positive. I ask him about DeMarcus Cousins’ extension and if it was the right time to sign the skilled big man or if the new regime pulled the trigger a little too early. I also ask Marc if he believes that new coach Michael Malone can tame the beast in Cousins.

We talk about the point guard battle and who should be the starter for the Kings going into the regular season. I ask about the Kings No. 7 pick in the draft, Ben McLemore, and his chances on winning Rookie of the Year.

To finish the episode, I ask Marc a question that Kings fans have been guessing since they found out their team was staying: what he believes the Kings projected record will be for this season.
