Wow. Just wow. What in the **** happened last weekend? Where was the explosive play of Colin Kaepernick, Anquan Boldin, and Frank Gore? My prediction took a nose dive as soon as that rain-delay took place. This is another prime example why the NFL, through delays due to weather or power outages, can cause a shift in momentum.
Having said that, it’s time to move forward, 49er faithful. The 49ers face a solid Indianapolis Colts team with newly added Trent Richardson in play for this Sunday. Although Richardson is not accustomed to the Colts offense, I expect the team to use him to bruise up the 49ers defense enough to open up the pass play.
Colin Kaepernick has something to prove in this game. He took terrific against a weak Packers secondary, but then dreadful against a solid, if not the best defense in the NFL with three picks and one fumble. This week he’ll have to prove to himself, the NFL, and experts that he is capable of putting up 300 total yards and bouncing back mentally.
Two players that have a opposite future are Eric Reid and Aldon Smith. One is shining, while the other is one cough in the wrong direction from getting suspended. However, I expect both of them to shine in this week’s matchup.
Final Score: 49ers 28 Colts 17

49ers’ D Line: 3.5 sacks
