According to reports, the Sacramento Kings have signed DeQuan Jones to a training camp contract, per Mark Deeks of

There are 14 roster spots that are currently under guaranteed contract, and a 15th spot would most likely be kept open for flexibility, per Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee.

Jones is a 6’8″ forward, 23 years old and went undrafted from the University of Miami, and was an invitee to the Orlando Magic’s training camp in 2012. He was called up to the main roster and appeared in 63 games for them, averaging an unimpressive 3.7 PPG in an average of 12.7 minutes per game.

It’s likely the Kings will assign him to the D-League for the Reno Bighorns roster, where he can compete for the 15th roster spot, which will be open over the course of the season if a position is needed for head Sacramento coach Michael Malone’s bench.
