Brandon Belt Ignites Come-From-Behind Win Over Rockies By Giants

The San Francisco Giants, coming off of a devastating loss, decided to reverse the trend of losing with one big come-from-behind win.

Brandon Belt hit an RBI single in the eighth inning, powering the Giants to a 4-3 win over the Colorado Rockies. Marco Scutaro also singled in a run, and Pablo Sandoval did the game.

Yusmeiro Petit wasn’t as sharp as he was on Friday, but he pitched 5.2 mediocre innings and kept the Giants in the game. Guillermo Moscoso ended up with the win, but Petit helped.

Santiago Casilla also did, as he got the save (his second of the year). Matt Belisle of the Rockies chipped in for the wrong team, taking the loss.

Juan Nicasio didn’t go into the later innings, but he gave the Rockies a chance to win with five one-run innings. However, his team squandered the lead.

Next up for the Giants are the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have the NL West virtually locked up. The Giants are just playing for bragging rights and momentum for 2014, and they were able to build some up today.
