Well fans, the football season is almost here, and the 49ers are trimming their roster to the standard 53 men lineup. It’s a bit hectic as they were scheduled to meet at 7 am this morning and practice at 11 am. They’ve already cut players like Jason Schepler and are continuing to make more cuts. For all the action you want you can follow along with CSN’s cut tracker:

Following the 49ers this season is surely going to be a lot of fun. They’ve named Colt McCoy the backup quarterback and are making a lot of changes. With injuries during the training camp, it looks as if the 49ers have made almost enough changes to be just as affective this season.

With that being said, the real thing that every single football fan is focused on right now is the season that starts in about a week. The 49ers are set to kickoff against the Green Bay Packers in Candlestick park.

Cut-day is a hectic day, but CSN’s link will be giving you the news right when you need it. Stay tuned we here at Golden Gate Sports are going to be giving all the coverage you could ask for and more as this NFL season begins for the Niners on Sunday, September 8th.
