San Francisco Giants: 3 Bold Predictions For the Second Half

Ok. Let’s face it. The defending world-champion San Francisco Giants simply suck. Don’t try to argue because you know they do.

They have lost 20 out of their last 28 games. That’s a win percentage of 29%. You tell me if that’s good or not.

1. Deep Playoff Run

The past success of the Giants has left some very high expectations that may not play up to. The chances that the team turns their season around and sneek into the playoffs. I look for them to have a miraculous comeback and do quite well. It is by no means far-fetched for it to happen. But they will have a tough road ahead of them.

2. Totally Tank the Season (not on purpose)

There is the more favorable prediction of tanking the season, which has many upsides and downsides. Upsides are a high draft pick, and become an even more desirable location for free agents. Some downsides are you might lose some good players in the process and could lose all chemistry. Thde recent no-hitter performed by Tim Lincecum should give the team a head full of momentum heading into the second had of the season, but don’t count on the season being saved.

3. We Are the Champions of the World (reference to Queen)

After all, the Giants are the defending world champions and you should expect nothing less than a stellar season. They have Pablo “Panda” Sandoval, Buster Posey, Madison Bumgarner, two-time Cy Young Award winner, Tim Lincecum, and Sergio Romo. You can never count them out. There might be a comeback brewing, so beware of the Giants.

Well, the Giants have a lot of routes that they can partake in. Hopefully they pick the right one.
