San Jose Sharks Twitter Account Absolutely Destroys ESPN

So ESPN thought it would be funny to contact the San Jose Sharks via Twitter and ask them to change their name to the “Sharknados” because of the Syfy movie that captivated the nation on Thursday night:

How did the Sharks respond to that? They couldn’t have done it any better:

It is no secret that ESPN has completely blown away the NHL since losing the broadcast rights several years ago. Turn on Sportscenter nowadays and all you’ll see are lengthy segments discussing Tim Tebow and why Colin Kaepernick shouldn’t be wearing a Dolphins’ hat.

And in the middle of all that, they’ll insert about 30 seconds of hockey talk where they barely show any highlights at all.

So to ESPN: unless you show that you actually give a damn about hockey, don’t mess around with NHL teams on Twitter.
