The San Francisco 49ers win a lot of games because of their defense, and it is led by some incredible linebackers.

Patrick Willis, NaVorro Bowman, Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks helped lead the 49ers to Super Bowl XLVII last season. All four lit up the stat sheet, as Smith and Brooks combined for 26 sacks and Willis and Bowman combined for 268 tackles.

There’s no doubt that San Francisco’s linebackers have put up eye-popping numbers so far, and there’s no doubt that the young group will continue to pile up numerous accolades. But how valuable is the group?

    They not only have a HOF duo at middle linebacker. They have the best group of Linebackers and backup Linebackers in the NFL.

    The only flaw in the defense is the secondary. Hopefully it will improve from last year. I was never a Goldson Fan, he was mediocre in coverage but made to many stupid errors like late hits. He probably should have been flagged for more late hits. So hopefully Dahl or Reid will play a smarter game and be better at coverage than Goldson.

    Next season the 49ers can devote their 10 draft picks towards 1- WR, 1- DL, maybe 1 kicker, and backup QB if McCoy does not stay around, and the other 6-8 picks devoted to DB’s,
