The Sacramento Kings will finally begin to look at their current team management while re-evaluating each player and their status with the team. Vivek Ranadive has said that he will personally be interviewing everyone, from general manager Geoff Petrie and head coach Keith Smart to assistant coaches and everyone in the team and player management staff.

Ranadive has repeatedly made it very clear that he is very willing and eager to do what is necessary to make the Kings a competitive team again. While the future owner has also made it clear that he has every intention of globally marketing the Kings, a competitive team that is fun to watch will be a major piece in the success or failure of Ranadive and his business associates.

The Kings’ success on the court is the only thing that will keep fans interested. While the ownership change has revitalized a major portion of the Sacramento area’s fan base, people still have the bad taste left in their mouth from all the years of bad memories with the Maloofs. Fans would have a major reason to become interested in the Kings if, in conjunction with the ownership change, the team is good.

Well Sacramento fans, the future is bright, and Ranadive seems very intent on raising the Kings’ current payroll and allowing his team to flourish on a global stage. There are several potential free agents that the Kings would be very interested in, but with three restricted free agents and one unrestricted free agent of their own, the Kings have some decisions to make regarding who they want to build a team around.
