Live Blog: San Jose Sharks vs. Los Angeles Kings Game 5

Tonight’s game five between the San Jose Sharks and the Los Angeles Kings promises to be a good one.  Neither team has lost at home during the postseason, meaning the Kings have the advantage tonight playing at Staples.  The Sharks did play very well in game two in L.A. until they gave  up two goals in about 30 seconds near the end of the third period, so they know they can do it.  But will they?

Story Lines

Accusations of diving have been thrown out by the Sharks and the Kings, intensifying the rivalry even more.

And, don’t forget about the questionable officiating, most notably the Kings goal which was waived off in game four.  That goal could very well have made the difference in the game.

Look for the Kings to have a very different set of line combinations tonight compared to the previous four games.  They have only scored two goals in the last two games, so head coach Darryl Sutter is looking for new ways to generate offense.

Gotta love playoff hockey, there’s nothing else like it!
