San Jose Sharks: TJ Galiardi Has Some Harsh Words for Jonathan Quick

There is no doubt that Los Angeles Kings goalie Jonathan Quick is one of the best in the game, and he is the main reason why the Kings have even won two games in their second round series against the San Jose Sharks.

However, Quick can also be a pretty big pain in the ass, as he shows in this video:

As you can see, there is no reason for him to punch Tommy Wingels in the face, or give a little shove to TJ Galiardi. Galiardi was just skating by, looking to see if the puck came loss, and Wingels is standing in front of the net, minding his own business. It’s Quick that instigates all the contact, and for no good reason at all.

In fact, Galiardi went on a bit of a rant about Quick on Wednesday.

“What kind of bugs me about him, I don’t know if I should say it, but a little embellishment every now and then,” Galiardi told the San Jose Mercury News. “You skate by and you don’t even touch him or you barely even touch him and he’s throwing his hands in the air. So that’s one of those things. It’s playoffs. Everyone’s trying to draw a penalty. Whatever.”

Ah, the “e-word,” otherwise known as embellishment.

“Whatever that is, I’m not going to get into that. Definitely not,” Galiardi continued. “It is what it is. Guys are trying to give their team any advantage they can, and if he wants to throw the hands in the air, whatever. I think the refs are smart enough where they see it.”

The Sharks and Kings head back to Los Angeles for Game 5 tomorrow, with the series tied 2-2.
