Through the first 36 games of this promising young season, the reigning world champion San Francisco Giants are 21-15, and are in a prime spot to continue serving up the damage to unsuspecting opponents.  Though they’ve experienced their fair share of ups and downs, the overall tone of the season has been very positive thus far.  And, in a suddenly very competitive National League West, San Francisco has risen to the occasion and shut down all four division rivals to the tune of a 15-6 record, including a sweep of each team.

Winning eight of their last 12, there’s no denying the Giants are continuing their hot start as the second week of May comes to a close.

So what have we learned so far?

Odd that there’s no mention of the contribution of Hunter Pence, who is surely the primary reason why the team is scoring more this season.

Having Hunter the whole season will make a huge difference !

I definitely should have included Pence in there, but he’s having a real tough time right now.
