It’s one thing to have confidence in yourself, but it’s another thing to call yourself the best at what you do. Especially when you were a third round selection that was picked by a 4-12 team.
Oakland Raiders’ third round selection (66th overall) Sio Moore claimed that he was the “best linebacker in the draft,” according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Last season Moore earned All-Big East first-team honors, recording 72 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and 11 pass breakups for UConn.
“Disciplined linebacker who follows through on his assignments and maintains his gap responsibilities prevent cutbacks,” says NFL.com’s scouting report. “Also a solid tackler, able to break down and securely wrap the ballcarrier’s torso or leg for minimal yards after the catch.”
“The Raiders are getting a pissed-off linebacker,” Moore said, frustrated that he had to wait until the third round to have his name called. “No one will outwork me.”
