D.J. Hayden is an incredible player and has an incredible story. That story has a new chapter, thanks to the Raiders.

Oakland took Hayden with the 12th pick in the NFL Draft. Oakland traded down to the 12th pick and took Hayden, the player they likely would have taken with the third pick. The Raiders traded with Miami and earned the 42nd pick as well.

Hayden intercepted four passes in 2012, including three in his last three games. Hayden has incredible speed, and he is 5’11″ and almost 200 pounds. Hayden lost some weight after almost bleeding to death in 2011, when a hard hit damaged his inferior vena cava. Hayden almost bled to death, but he’s alive and back on the field.

The Houston cornerback has an incredible story. Can he make his story even better by performing well?
