2013 NFL Draft: Raiders Could Trade No. 3 Pick to Dolphins

Speculation is mounting that the Oakland Raiders would like to trade down in the draft, as they currently own the third overall pick.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen believes that the Dolphins, who have the 12th pick, could be interested in trading up for the Raiders’ selection if offensive tackles Luke Joeckel or Eric Fisher are still available.

In his series of mock draft, our senior staff writer Baily Deeter predicts Joeckel as the No. 1 pick to the Chiefs, and Fisher going fifth overall to the Lions. If this holds true, look for the Dolphins to pull the trigger and draft Fisher.

exactly,.if we could get 7th overall pick and a 2nd round pick to make up for the palmer debacle it should be worth it

Dolphin fan (who also likes Oakland) here: I see #3 for #12, one of our 2nds and Devone Bess. The upside for Oakland is that a solid young player at almost any position would be helpful, so dropping to 12 in this draft wouldn’t be a big deal. Maimi needs a specific position. Frankly, it’s an ideal trade for both teams. (And…Oakland gets to screw San Diego, who wants an OT.)
