Oakland Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford told the Bay Area News Group’s Steve Corkran that “his foot is 100 percent healed and he’s ready to roll once the first mini-camp starts.”
Ford, who missed all of last season and half of 2011 with a sprained foot that wound up requiring Lisfranc surgery, “definitely” expects himself to be at full speed for training camp.
Drafted by the Raiders in 2010, Ford provided an immediate spark with 25 receptions, 470 yards, and two touchdowns in his rookie season. You may remember a certain game against the Chiefs, when he made several tough catches to propel the Raiders to an overtime win.
Ford escaped a DUI charge earlier this month when the prosecutor threw out the case.
