NBA Playoffs: Nuggets’ Kenneth Faried Likely to Sit Out Game 1 vs. Warriors

If there is one player the Golden State Warriors would not like to face on the Nuggets, it would be Kenneth Faried.

The good news? He will likely sit out Game 1 with an ankle injury.

“Hopefully I can bounce back, I don’t know about tomorrow, but when I do come back and play, I’ll be 100 percent hopefully,” Faried told the Denver Post. “I’m not making any promises — the plan (Saturday) is to come in and be with my teammates, and even if I’m not playing, I’ll bring energy on the bench for my teammates.”

Faried averaged 11.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per game in the regular season. His tenacity and toughness has earned him the nickname “Manimal.”

History would prove that the Warriors are not a very physical team, and Faried will likely wreak havoc in the paint.

It looks as if they will catch a big break in Game 1 as they tried to steal a game on the road to kick off the playoffs.
