The horrific events in Boston over the past week have caused numerous postponements to sporting events; for example, today’s Red Sox and Bruins games were called off.

With law enforcement still working on the investigations, the A’s trip to Boston seems in jeopardy as well. Oakland is scheduled to play at Fenway Park on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that it is speculated the A’s will not be flying to Boston on Sunday night if the suspect remains at-large, while the Bay Area News Group’s Jim Hickey says the series is “up in the air.”

The A’s are currently in Tampa Bay to kick off a three-game series that will end on Sunday. Hopefully by then, all this chaos can be sorted out and they will be playing in Boston on Monday.
