The San Francisco 49ers have signed free agent tight end Cameron Morrah, according to Jason LaCanfora of CBSSports.

Morrah last played for the Seahawks in 2011 when he recorded six receptions for 74 yards in nine games. He was drafted by Seattle in 2009, and spent three seasons there before being waived last offseason.

Rotoworld’s Nick Mensio points out that Morrah has missed 37 games over his first four seasons and is more of a receiver than a blocker.

This is a player that Oakland should have picked up. Morrah actually had decent hands and would catch everything thrown his way, it was speed he lacked and the ability to get open.
